Jaguar Land Rover has promised to add electrified options to all their vehicle lines by 2020. That process starts with the Land Rover Range Rover Sport P400e. It combines a 296 hp, 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with a plug-in electric motor for a maximum total output of 398 hp. The Terrain Response 2 uses the latter’s instant torque for greater control during low-speed off-road maneuvers, and the motor offers a range of 31 miles in all-electric mode. When the both the gas engine and motor are used, 0-60 becomes a 6.3-second sprint on the way to a top speed of 137 mph. Of course, it also receives the same updates as the rest of the Sport lineup, including a redesigned LED headlight system, grille, and bumper, and the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with two high-definition 10-inch touchscreens. Arriving next summer as a 2019 model.
