After unveiling the Audi R8 Spyder convertible last year, the luxury German automobile manufacturer follows it up with the second generation R8 Spyder V10 Plus.
Boasting new enhancements, the vehicle is equipped with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, coupled with a sporty 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that houses 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, while weighing less than the original R8 Spyder. Jumping from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, the V10 Plus revs out to 8,700 rpm, with max speed reaching at 203.8 mph.
Additionally, like the standard R8, it can send up to 100 percent of its power to either axle in extreme situations, alongside a rear differential locker for added traction. Other notable details include a 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi Drive Select, bucket seats, ceramic brakes and lighter alloy wheels.
With a starting price of $232,450 USD, the R8 V10 Spyder Plus is due out in Europe late this Summer 2017 first, while a U.S. release is expected to follow soon after.
