According to reports by Deadline, Leonardo DiCaprio has signed onto Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Charles Manson film.
Tarantino and DiCaprio are set to team up again, having previously worked together on the director’s 2012 film Django Unchained. For the upcoming project, DiCaprio will play an aging actor in the story that is being kept hush-hush, but is according to Deadline, “a Pulp Fiction-esque movie set in the 1969 Los Angeles during the summer of the Manson murders.”
The film will be DiCaprio’s first since he won the Oscar for The Revenant.
Tarantino’s next project will hit theatres August 9, 2019, on the 50th anniversary of the day the Manson family carried out the LaBianca murders and the day after Sharon Tate was killed.
